Confessions from Scripture: God’s Kingdom

Raised together with Christ: I have been raised together with Christ, and I seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. I set my mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. For I have died, and my life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:1-3

Sitting with Christ: God raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:6-7

Righteousness, peace, and joy: I don’t allow my good practices to be labeled as evil, for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but in demonstrating righteousness, peace, and joy through the Holy Spirit. Those who serve Christ in these things are acceptable to God and approved by men. Romans 14:16-18

Seeking the Kingdom first: I’m not anxious about my food, drink and clothing, for my heavenly Father knows that I need all these things Rather, I seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to me as well. Therefore I am not anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Matthew 6:31-34

Translated into the Kingdom: I give thanks to the Father, who delivered me out of the power of darkness and translated me into the Kingdom of the Son of his love. 1 Colossians 1:13

Understands the word of the kingdom: Like the seed that was sown on the good ground, am I one who hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it, who bears fruit, and brings forth, some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.” Matthew 13:23

Holding unwaveringly to the word: Like the seed the fell on the good ground, I am one who posses a heart of integrity and virtue, having heard the word, I hold it tightly and unwaveringly in order to bring forth fruit though persistence. Luke 8:15

The keys of the Kingdom: The Lord Jesus has given us the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven; and whatever you release (from bondage) on earth will be released in heaven.” Matthew 16:19
