You are Invited to a Royal Wedding!

You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5
That’s right! There is going to be a royal wedding and it happens that you are related to this family. No, I’m not talking about the wedding that is taking place in Britain, I’m talking about the marriage of the Christ and his bride, the church (Ephesians 5:25-32). It seems that becoming a part of God’s family through the new birth give us the status of royalty. You know when
Waiting Confidently on Our Source

Why say you, Jacob, and speak, Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and the justice due to me is passed away from my God? Have you not known? have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn't faint, neither is weary; there is no searching of his understanding. He gives power to the faint; and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but those who wait for the LORD shall renew their
Times of Refreshing

Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord…Acts 3:19
Are you in need of refreshment today? You may be feeling worn down by fear and anxiety and all the insecurity that the world generates or by the effects of falling below God’s standards of righteousness. Yet you can find refreshment and personal revival from the Lord. Jesus is our source of refreshment, relaxation and relief. He died so we could live; that we could live above the fray of life’s daily struggles. Yes,
All Things are Possible with God

The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answered again, "Children, how hard is it for those who trust in riches to enter into the Kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God." They were exceedingly astonished, saying to him, "Then who can be saved?" Jesus, looking at them, said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God." Mark 10:24-27

Honey from a rock!

But my people didn't listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me. So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, That they might walk in their own counsels. Oh that my people would listen to me, That Israel would walk in my ways! I would soon subdue their enemies, And turn my hand against their adversaries. The haters of The LORD would cringe before him, And their punishment would last forever. But he would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat. I will satisfy you with honey out of the rock. Psalm 81:11-16

The Path to Joy

…neither be you grieved; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10
Nehemiah 8:1-18 recounts a time of repentance and revival among the people who had returned from exile. One the first day of the seventh month of the year the people gathered for an assembly. For five hours the people listened attentively as Ezra the priest read from the Torah and others expounded on God’s law. The people were move to tears and repentance. Nehemiah and Ezra proclaimed that it was sacred day and told to people not to morn, but to have a feast, send food
Basic Principles for making God your Source

To have God as your source one must recognize that there is a world beyond the physical world that we can see; that there is a spiritual world that is above and superior to the physical. That God is a spirit, that He is not limited by the constraints of the physical world. And that we are His creation. Just like a father, He loves us and desires to share his life with us, his eternal life, which is not just a long life, but a quality of life the is fulfilling and satisfying. Thus, God the Father sent His
God is our Source of Triumphant Expectations

But Christ (the Messiah) was faithful over His [own Father's] house as a Son [and Master of it]. And it is we who are [now members] of this house, if we hold fast and firm to the end our joyful and exultant confidence and sense of triumph in our hope [in Christ]. Hebrews 3:6 AMP
As followers of Jesus, God's Anointed One, we should maintain an expectant attitude of triumph. It was the Lord Jesus who was triumphant over sin, death and the devil. But that was only the beginning. The Bible tells us that, "For he
What things are holding us back?

What could be going on when the things that we are trusting God for are not showing up in our lives? It may be that we need to do some self-examination. For it may be that we are allowing somethings in our lives which are blocking the flow of God's favor. Consider each of the following items; is there any area where we might need to change our attitudes and behaviors?
- Are we harboring unforgiveness towards anyone? "But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions," Mark 11:26.
- Have we been neglectful of prayer?
God is Our Source for Overcoming Fear
One again our government has demonstrated its unresponsiveness to the people and many are starting to become fearful. Fear will try to paralyze us and defeat us. But we do not have to give in to it for God is our source of resisting and overcoming fear. Hebrews 2:14, 15 tells us, "Since then the children have shared in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same, that through death he might bring to nothing him who had
