Our Source for Reaching the World

December 11, 2011
Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things which I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 Have you noticed the world? It is out there all around us. Most of what we see is separated from God; separated from his love, from his anointing  and from his

Our Source of Opportunity

December 4, 2011

I know your works (behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut), that you have a little power, and kept my word, and didn’t deny my name. Revelation 3:8

Perhaps you are feeling depressed for the lack of opportunities available in your life. But, your situation does not have to stay that way because God is our source for opportunities for completing tasks, accomplishing goals and reaching our destines. What is important then, is not to be defeated by discouragement but to be prepared, alert and obedient for when the Lord

2012, Our Best Year Yet?

November 27, 2011
Soon the year 2011 will come to an end. For most people it has been a difficult and challenging year. And what of the new year to come? What is your’s and my expectation for 2012. Will it be another year like 2011? Or will 2012 be better; much batter? Yes, 2012 could be our best year yet! How do I know? Because I’m not only optimistic and positive about the 2012 but I’m also optimistic about the Lord and his word; that there will be great opportunities and great victories available to you and I when we maintain God

Flow!

November 19, 2011
...everything shall live wherever the river flows. Ezekiel 47:9 Jesus told us in John 10:10, “The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.” What then is the key to experiencing this abundant life that Jesus came to bring us? I think it has to do with recognizing that God is our source and that everything we need flows out our relationship with him. In Ezekiel 47:1-12 there is an interesting passage of scripture about a flow of water which comes from the temple of God that the prophet

Why Wait for Thanksgiving to Give Thanks?

November 12, 2011

Oh give thanks to the LORD; for he is good; For his loving kindness endures forever. 1Chronicles 16:34

With the approach of the holiday season many are reminded of the opportunity to gather to give thanks to God for his goodness and for all the things he was done for us this year. But why wait till November 24th to give thanks? For the believer who has God for his or her source, giving thanks to God for all that he has done should be a daily practice. It is part of what I call the God

A Continual Feast!

November 5, 2011
Should we go passively through life, going with its daily ups and downs, letting circumstances control our emotions? Should we react with anger when faced with mistreatment, criticism or abuse? Or should we respond in a different manner. The writer of Proverbs seems to feel that the attitude that we maintain has a direct effect on the outcome of the difficulties we encounter. He said in Proverbs 15:15, “For the despondent, every day brings trouble; for the happy heart, life is a continual feast,” NLT. So he says if you allow yourself to have a despondent attitude then you are

Is Marriage Obsolete?

October 23, 2011

Recently several news organizations have been suggesting that the institution of marriage is obsolete. But, I do not think they really know what they are talking about because the problems we see taking place in society are more symptomatic of faults and character deficiencies that are spiritual in nature.

We could say that such an assertion is analogous to students in high school or college claiming that education is obsolete. But this would  be recognized as a false assertion because we understand that the root of the problem falls on the teachers and/or students. Either the teachers did not

Can God Trust You?

October 15, 2011
He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? If you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own? Luke 16:10-12 Everybody is wanting things. What kind of things?
  • Relationships
  • Influence and power
  • Money and wealth
  • New or better relationships
  • Wisdom
  • New opportunities
The good news is, the Lord desires to give you such things: But as it is written, "Things which

Our Source of Provision even in Times of Scarcity

October 10, 2011
Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the foreigners of Gilead, said to Ahab, As The LORD, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. The word of the LORD came to him, saying, Get you hence, and turn you eastward, and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, that is before the Jordan. It shall be, that you shall drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there. So he went and did according to the word of The LORD; for

God is our Source for Reaching our Destiny

September 25, 2011

Have you given much thought about your destiny? How would you answer these questions:

  • What is my reason for being?
  • What was I put on this earth to accomplish?

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says The LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end. Jeremiah 29:11

Even if we have not given any thought about these questions God has because he never does anything without a reason, Yes, The Lord had a purpose for creating each of us. He has a destination
