2014: The Year of God’s Great Grace

With great power, the apostles gave their testimony of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Great grace was on them all. Acts 4:33

The year 2014 will be an extraordinary year. It will be a year when God's great grace with be manifested in unusual ways.

The Lord has has always been exceedingly gracious toward us. But this year he calls us his children to exhibit that same grace in our lives. For as we yield ourselves to demonstrating his grace, his goodness and his unmerited favor as a testimony to those we encounter who do not deserve it or as we

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree," that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus... Galatians 3,13-14

Recently I came across a teaching by Derek Prince about how we can be released from curses affecting lives. The study of blessing and cursers, which are supernatural empowerments, is often neglected by many churches. After researching about the existence, causes and the cure for curses I began to work on a means to share these truths with others.

God Loves a Hilarious Giver

Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

I hope this post will help transform your perspective about giving and remove barriers in your mind that prevent you from putting God first with your money and possessions. When Paul was writing to believers in Corinth about giving an offering to help the Christians in Jerusalem he told them in 2 Corinthians 9:7, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion,

Be Seed Conscience Rather Than Need Conscience

Those who sow in tears will reap in joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed for sowing, Will assuredly come again with joy, carrying his sheaves. Psalm 125:5-6.

A lot of Christians are going around all day with their focus on their needs, on the things they do not have. But that is not what we should allow our minds to dwell on because the Lord has already provided us with a means to get our needs fulfilled. How? He has provided us with seeds. We sow seeds and from the seeds we will reap a harvest. Jesus

Your Faith Project

Behold, the former things have happened, and new things do I declare. Before they spring forth I tell you of them. Isaiah 42:9

It is great to know that God is our source and that we can go to him with every need or turn to him in any circumstance. But our God is more than just a remedy in time of need. He is the master builder of our lives.  And from time to time he will assign us a faith project.

A faith project! What is a faith project? It is a project that can only be accomplished by faith and

Now, More Than Ever, We Need God As Our Source

The LORD answered me, "Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won't delay…" Habakkuk 2:2-3 Perhaps you are not happy about the recent election. Our Source of Security

More and more these days we see that we live in an insecure world. People in society value the lives of others and their own lives less and less. Yet, for the believer who is walking according to God’s ways there is the promise of security and protection.

First we need to recognize that we and our loved ones who know Christ have eternal security. Our destination and destiny are set; we are going to spend eternity with the Lord Jesus. Death may separate us from our friends and loved ones, but that is only temporary. Those individuals who have

Freedom from Animosity

"...and be thankful." Colossians 3:15

Sometime we are treated badly by others and it creates feelings of resentment in our hearts. Such resentment effects our attitudes about others and about our life. It also negatively effects the words that come out of our mouths. But we need to recognize how harmful these kind of attitudes and words are for our lives. Remember Jesus told us in Mark 11 that we can have what we say. Whether our words are positive or negative they will direct the course of our lives  The writer of Proverbs also reminds us that, "Death

More than Problem Solvers

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. Let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4 Every day I pray as the Lord has instructed me, "Lord, let this be the best day yet!" So one day the Lord was asking me what determines if a day is 'good' or 'best' day? I replied with several suggestions:
  • Is it a day where everything goes smoothly?
  • Is it a day where we receive unexpected blessing or pleasures?
  • Is it a day where
